New Dinner Menu

Christopher's is pleased to announce the launch of our new dinner menu along with several new all day items. Not to be concerned. As owner Chip Pritchard describes, "we're not doing a total overhaul. We still enjoy many of the 'traditional favorites', but for a while, we have been working on sourcing more local, clean foods and wanted to introduce some of the significant changes we've made over the last year. We have been able to find more consistent clean foods so that now most of our deli meats and all of our chicken are natural since day one foods- no antibiotics, no hormones, no steroids- and we're continuing to work on providing good, local, clean foods that are nutritious as well as absolutely delicious!"

The new menu is spearheaded by head dinner chef Don Warfe. "Don has an outstanding culinary background and is friends with many of the local food producers," Chip explains. "We're looking forward to having some fun with our specials and menu additions and hope you enjoy them too! We welcome all your feedback, so don't be shy!"

Chef Don elaborates "we want to please our current clientele so we'll continue offering many of their favorites, but also introduce some cutting edge fare and appeal to the foodies. We'll be providing even more vegetarian/vegan options, but also focus on using local meats."

"We are now sourcing as many local and organic ingredients as possible and intend to feature them in creative ways," explains Chef Don. "Dishes like the Seasonal Garden Risotto will vary slightly depending on what is available from our partners at Patchwork Gardens. Customers will notice another strong partnership with KJB farms who provide andouille sausage, baby back ribs and pork chops, all featured on the new menu."

Finally, Chef Don explains that "while local is the emphasis, Christopher's has always been eclectic and I like to feature some international flare. The dinner menu includes new seafood items such as the Grilled Jerk Mahi Mahi and I'll be visiting the Far East Market weekly to source the best Gochujang sauce for the the Pork Bo Ssam Sandwich we just added to the menu. We plan to do a lot more like this!"

New Salads and Sandwiches

So we have some amazing things happening in terms of dinner entrees, but Christopher's has strong roots in soup, salad, sandwich service and we are still excited about this part of our business. First of all, we are pleased to offer two new dinner portioned salads: the Roasted Beet Trio Salad and Lemon Basil Shrimp Salad, both as exquisite as they sound.

It is due time we officially recognize what many have considered a Christopher's "secret sandwich". The Veggie Brother Reuben is a meatless take on The Brother Reuben that subs in veggie burger for corned beef. Doubters be dared, the one is loved by vegetarians and Brother Reuben devotees alike. Add to the roster, the Crab Cake Po' Boy, Pork Bo Ssam Sandwich, and Hawaiian Mahi Mahi Sandwich and there is something new for everyone on this menu.

Flatbread Pizza

Both the lunch and dinner crew having often experimented with pizzas our kitchen could pull off well without the space for a legit wood oven as specials from time to time. These have been so popular, we've added a new Flatbread Pizza section to the dinner menu.

Choose from Shrimp Scampi, Meatball or Barbeque Chicken Pizza either as an entree or to share as a side dish, perhaps accompanied by something tasty from our spring/summer wine list and a nice salad. We love pizza as much as any good restaurant folk, and are proud to feature these uniquely gourmet variations on a classic dish.

Summer Beverage Features

In the front of the house it is time to introduce summer beverages. Each year we offer a couple new ways to refresh your senses as you step out of the heat and in to the comfort of our dining room.

This summer, we'll be offering a red wine Sangria over fresh fruit; whatever is in season and pairs well with the vino. As you know, we're doing Sangria and Taco Tuesday all through May, but this is the perfect beverage to accompany traditional Latin fare or really any fresh-ingredient oriented summer cuisine.

We will also be pouring a Cucumber Basil Lemonade which is fantastic on its own and also makes a great light cocktail if you order it "spiked". Christopher's housemade lemonade is infused with and served over cucumbers and fresh basil. Can you think of a better way to chill in the dining room? Come and get it!
