Christopher's is pleased to announce the launch of our new dinner menu along with several new all day items. Not to be concerned. As owner Chip Pritchard describes, "we're not doing a total overhaul. We still enjoy many of the 'traditional favorites', but for a while, we have been working on sourcing more local, clean foods and wanted to introduce some of the significant changes we've made over the last year. We have been able to find more consistent clean foods so that now most of our deli meats and all of our chicken are natural since day one foods- no antibiotics, no hormones, no steroids- and we're continuing to work on providing good, local, clean foods that are nutritious as well as absolutely delicious!"
The new menu is spearheaded by head dinner chef Don Warfe. "Don has an outstanding culinary background and is friends with many of the local food producers," Chip explains. "We're looking forward to having some fun with our specials and menu additions and hope you enjoy them too! We welcome all your feedback, so don't be shy!"
Chef Don elaborates "we want to please our current clientele so we'll continue offering many of their favorites, but also introduce some cutting edge fare and appeal to the foodies. We'll be providing even more vegetarian/vegan options, but also focus on using local meats."
"We are now sourcing as many local and organic ingredients as possible and intend to feature them in creative ways," explains Chef Don. "Dishes like the Seasonal Garden Risotto will vary slightly depending on what is available from our partners at Patchwork Gardens. Customers will notice another strong partnership with KJB farms who provide andouille sausage, baby back ribs and pork chops, all featured on the new menu."
Finally, Chef Don explains that "while local is the emphasis, Christopher's has always been eclectic and I like to feature some international flare. The dinner menu includes new seafood items such as the Grilled Jerk Mahi Mahi and I'll be visiting the Far East Market weekly to source the best Gochujang sauce for the the Pork Bo Ssam Sandwich we just added to the menu. We plan to do a lot more like this!"
